So, on Saturday, I worked on refitting the bodice, and redrafting the bodice for about two hours. I took some pictures too, but after looking at them few mins ago, they don't look very good at all, as they are really bury.

It took me 1 1/2 hours to finish my second petticoat Wendesday. I also worked on my bodice on Thrusday and took pictures, but I just had a duh moment. I finished my flounced petticoat yesturday and it turned out great! And its the perfect length too, which is very good! I worked on it for about two hours yesturday. It closes in the back with a hook and an eye (accually a bar). It is gathered in the back and its flat in the front. I really like how it turned out! I think I'll start on my other ( Read more... )

I started sewing one of my petticoats Yesturday. I worked for about half an hour before dinner, then I worked for about two and a half hours after dinner. I was having some tecnical difficulties on some of the pannels and had to take them off and resew them. So, today I went to Elisabeth's and we had a lot of fun! On my way there, I stopped at JoAnn's and bought a 25 yard bolt of muslin for $35. (which is great, btw, as I can never have too much muslin! Today I went to the libeary to pick up the books that I had on hold. I saw a pic of a bodice that I really liked in "Period Costume for Stage and Screen". I also saw a pic from "Victorian and Edwardian Fashions for Women" of an orginal dress with a some-what similar bodice.

And so I've started reseaching for my Power of One Project for school. I am going to be making an 1890's Edwardian Era dress, petticoats, and if time allows, drawers.
